this Ildoll IL-162 body style with H.R. and C23 head with punched/stitched hair in silicone travels to Germany:

Body:

This IL-162 body features hyper realism surface finishing (H.R.) and is made of silicone.

The target weight for this doll is ~32 kg, according to mfr. specs.

Heads:

Head 1: C23 (= H4)

Features: silicone, with hyper realism surface finishing (H.R.), with punched/stitched hair.

This configuration is rather interesting as it is one of the rare orders of a head with stitched/punched hair. It's rarely requested customization for a couple of reasons:

• for one, it is an extremey expensive customization,
• there are very few photos how it actually looks, and
• many customers are hesitant to have their doll permanently tied to a certain hair color and hair style.

Also, since there are so few heads with stitched hair out there, very few real-world-experiences exist how durable this customization is.

In this case, the punched/stitched hair was ordered during a promotion and the customer was very flexible about hair color and hair style. What he had in mind initially was an easy to care short hair style. The reason for considering stitched hair was that wigs with short hair often do not look pretty. An alternative would have been this lavish 'Marilyn Monroe' hair style:

This hair style shows Hitdoll's H4 head, which is supposed to be identical with Ildoll's C23. However, Ildoll was hesitant to replicate the 'Marilyn Monroe' hair style, probably because it would be quite challenging to get that hair packaged properly. Finally the decision was made to go for a short hair style, as initially requested; Ildoll suggested the gray hair instead of blond and the customer accepted.

This slightly jolty process illustrates that choosing stitched hair is challenging as well for the customer as for the factory. The factory requires meaningful pictures of the hair style from all sides – at least front, back, sides – and an clear idea about the hair color. All of that is done best with reference pictures, and some back and forth between the factory and the customer is unavoidable. Last but not least it needs to be a hair style which can be stitched, and a certain understanding is required that especially extravagant hair styles are not done so much by clipping with scissors but with hair spray, a hairdryer and brushes on location. So on all ends a lot of patience is needed, so some special thanks go to Kevin from Ildoll and his creative team.
