Weekly summary 36/2019

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 36th week of 2019, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) New arrivals.

This week, three new heads were introduced:

• HR Doll no. 1 head (HR-1) - TPE
• HR Doll no. 17 head aka ›Jonathan‹ (HR-17) - silicone
• WM Dolls no. 336 head (Jinsan) - TPE

Also, five new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Aibei Doll AB-163/I body style - TPE / ~163 cm / ~52 kg
• New arrivals: HR Doll HR-163/M body style - TPE / height ~163 cm / weight ~51 kg
• New arrivals: HR Doll HR-167 Male body style - TPE + silicone / height ~167 cm / weight ~47 kg
• New arrivals: Jarliet JA-165/D body style - TPE / height ~165 cm / weight ~41 kg
• New arrivals: Jarliet JA-165/H body style - TPE / height ~165 cm / weight ~36 kg

3) Factory photos and shipped dolls.

This week, we had no completed dolls.

4) Doll business news.

Jarliet again… a couple of weeks ago, Jarliet discontinued a big chunk of their most attractive heads. So in older postings you will find losts of pictures with faces you can not order anymore. Very effective to cause confusion… But Jarliet kept being busy, and recently they threw a bunch of new heads onto the market. So you can not get the old heads anymore, but there are some new choices.

Problem solved… at least that's what I thought. But I was wrong. Now I learnt that Jarliet does not allow to order separate heads. So there is no way to try out Jarliet's TPE blend and makeup skills with limited financial effort. You always need to order a complete doll from Jarliet. And yeah, that's truly amazing for fans of hybrid doll configurations as well. With this 'brilliant' move, Jarliet made it even harder to build hybrid dolls exactly the way customers want it. Management decisions like this are hard to understand and impossible to explain to customers who just want to purchase a new head. So thank you guys, you are doing a really brilliant job to marginalize the Jarliet brand.

5) Brexit deadline.

The currently schedule Brexit date is October 31st, 2019. After that date it is unclear if we will be able to provide customs clearance for UK customers.

So for a smooth order processing, there is now a deadline for UK customers. Dolls with a longer lead time – for example Doll Sweet's 'Evo' dolls with S-level makeup or Ildoll's dolls with H.R. (hyper realism) surface finishing – should be ordered at the beginning of September (36th/37th calendar week).
