Weekly summary 24/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 24th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. Reported injuries and deaths from or with the Corona injections keep climbing up. According to Sky News, Australia, Spain and Russia have issued air travel warnings for vaccinated persons because of the risk of blood clots. Also, Reuters reported that four British Airways pilots have died within the past week shortly after receiving Corona injections. According to a survey of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), nearly 60 percent refuse to take the Corona injections.

With currently 60 studies including 31 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. These are clear indications that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. International transit times for doll shipments to EU destinations have almost normalized. Also, shipping to destinations in North America is almost back to normal with transit times between about one week and two weeks at maximum. Though, at the moment, basically all dolls seem to travel with UPS.

2) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• 6Ye Premium no. 97 head (= 6Ye no. 97) - TPE
• Irontech Doll ›Rose‹ head - TPE
• SE Doll ›Risako‹ head (= SE no. 107) - silicone
• WM Dolls WMS 7 head - silicone

Also, two new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: 6Ye Premium 6Ye-170/B body style - TPE / ~170 cm / ~35 kg
• New arrivals: Irontech IT-164/D aka 164cm Plusbody style - TPE / ~164 cm / ~43 kg

One new head variant of existing heads was introduced:

• WM Dolls WMS no. 7, silicone variant of WM Doll no. 70 head (= Jinsan no. 70)

No new variants of existing body styles were introduced.

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
