Weekly summary 17/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 17th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation. a) The situation in general. In Europe, some countries have started to loosen the lockdown restrictions. On the other hand, deaths and adverse reactions from or with the jabs are literally exploding. As of May 1st, VAERS (U.S.), EudraVigilance (EU) and the UK have reported 13,325 deaths and 1,198,158 adverse reactions like sinus vein thrombosis, blindness, myocardia or paralysis.

Though, with currently 52 studies including 27 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. These are clear indications that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. The loosend Corona restrictions is some areas had no beneficial effects yet as far as international transit times are concerned. However, some Chinese doll factories have recently reported a shortage of workers because of new outbreaks. It'd be rather ironic if China would suffer from the Chinese virus again.

2) New arrivals.

This week, three new heads were introduced:

• JY Doll ›Jao‹ head - silicone
• WM Dolls no. 372 head (= Jinsan no. 372) - TPE
• Zelex A035 head - TPE

Also, one new body style was released:

• New arrivals: Zelex ZE-155/93 body style - TPE / ~155 cm / ~33 kg

One new head variant of existing heads were introduced:

• SE Doll ›Mariko‹ head aka ›Rosine‹ (= SE no. 101) - silicone

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
