Weekly summary 46/2020

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 46th week of 2020, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation.

a) The pandemic situation in general. Still nothing relevant to report, the staged desaster proceeds.

b) Impact on the doll business. Demand for dolls remains close to non existiant. The second wave of lockdowns have started to delay shipments to EU destinations, similar to the impact of spring lockdowns. Further impairment is to be expected.

2) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• JY Doll ›Leona‹ head - silicone
• JY Doll ›Sylvia‹ head - silicone
• SE Doll ›Luis‹ elf head (SE no. 021) - TPE
• SE Doll ›Nina‹ head (SE no. 083) - TPE

Also, one new body style was released:

• New arrivals: JY Doll JY-171/H body style - TPE / 171 cm / 45 kg

3) Industry news.

This regular column report about things like noteworthy events, model line changes, business updates, technical updates, and dolls in development.

Behind closed doors, the Doll Forum ('TDF') management has fabricated some new policy. No public announcement has been made yet, but it is to be expacted that certain dolls like, for example, 160 cm G cup silicone will be banned from TDF. The non-conclusive list will include 22 banned dolls for starters.
