Weekly summary 03/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 3rd week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation. a) The pandemic situation in general. The fabricated Corona crisis proceeds, and numerous universally recognised rights are suspended indefinitely all around the globe. Mass media is forced into line, and a public discussion is not allowed. However, the fact remains that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. There are scientifically proven COVID-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. If these methods are suppressed, the deadly results are self inflicted wounds.

b) Impact on the doll business. Tightened lockdowns and restrictions for international trade cause severe delays for doll shipments, even though some packages make it relatively fast to destinations like North America. These effects will be amplied through Chinese New Year holidays. Since several regions in China are under lockdowns before CNY, no smooth resolution is to be expected as several doll makers have already indicated.

2) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• HR Doll ›Cynthia‹ head (= HR no. 45) - TPE
• JY Doll ›Agata‹ head - TPE
• SE Doll ›Isabella‹ head (= SE no. 072) - TPE
• WM Dolls no. 384 head (= Jinsan no. 384) - TPE

New head variants of older heads:

• SE Doll ›Midori‹ head - TPE (alias name for Yukari, Manami, Nanase und Serika = SE no. 089)

One new body style was released:

• New arrivals: SE Doll SE-161/E body style - TPE / ~161 cm / ~35 kg
