Weekly summary 06/2020

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 6th week of 2020, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• SE Doll ›Mandy‹ head - TPE
• Gynoid ›Laura‹ head - silicone
• Gynoid ›Li hui‹ head - silicone
• Gynoid ›Ji xiang CE‹ head (closed eyes) - silicone

5) Chinese New Year Holidays / Coronavirus.

Chinese New Year holidays and Spring Festival (春节, chūn jié) have ended, though most Chinese businesses remain closed (at least) until February 17th, 2020 because of the Coronavirus outbreak. This is a governmental decision which affects all Chinese doll makers, so factories are still closed and production has not yet resumed after CNY holidays.

6) Current & upcoming Unboxing Reviews.

Currently there are three Unboxing reviews in the works:

• Unboxing Sino-doll SI-162/D body style with S30 ›Linyin‹ and S31 ›Chris‹ heads (draft; paused)
• Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka Model 7 revisited (draft, still incomplete)
• Unboxing Xycolo XC-170/F body style with ›Yinan‹ head (draft, in the making).
