Weekly summary 32/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 32nd week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe & Xycolo Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. Infections keep surging in countries with high vaccination rates and it has become evident that the Corona jabs are much less effective than advertised. It seems that the jabs neither avoid getting infected nor prevent being infective to others nor reduce the risk of a severe disease progression. Nevertheless, Israel has started to administer a third "booster" shot. Also, the U.S. administration is now considering the "opposition to Covid measures" as "potential terror threat", and the CDC has released plans for a so-called "shielding approach" to relocate "high-risk individuals" to "green zones" or "camps" with the purpose "to reduce the number of severe COVID-19 cases by limiting contact between individuals at higher risk of developing severe disease […] and the general population […]".

At the same time, proper Corona treatment is still denied in many countries around the world. With currently 63 studies including 31 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. All of this is clear evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? Is the reason that the Emergency Use Authorization for the Corona vaccines would be void if a treatment with proven medication would exist? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. Corona does not have any direct influence on the doll business anymore. International transit times for doll shipments as well to destinations in Europe as to destinations in North America have normalized. Though, ripple effects become more and more evident for everybody as there are price increases and supply chain disruptions almost everywhere. Also, for whatever reason, responses from Chinese manufacturers remain to be extremely slow.

2) New arrivals.

This week, One new head was introduced:

• WM Dolls No. 394 head (= Jinsan no. 394) - TPE

Also, one new body style was released:

• New arrivals: WM Dolls WM-165/G body style - TPE / 165 cm / 40 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
