Weekly summary 37/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 37th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe & Xycolo Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. Uttar Pradesh, the India state of 241 million people (!) declared Corona-free after government promoted Ivermectin. However, in other areas of the world, effective treatments are still denied. In Australia Ivermectin has even been banned.

With currently 63 studies including 31 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is plenty of sound research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis, and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. All of this is clear evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid keeps getting suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. The Corona NPIs influence doll business - air freight costs have increased, and international transit times for some - but luckily not all - doll shipments have started to slow down, again. Ripple effects are now evident for everybody as there are price increases and supply chain disruptions in almost any line of business.

2) New arrivals.

This week, six new heads were introduced:

• Climax Doll ›Valentina‹ head - silicone
• Gynoid Tech ›Nayuki‹ head (奈雪, Nài xuě) - silicone
• HR Doll no. 51 head - TPE
• Irontech Doll ›Rachel‹ head - TPE
• Irontech Doll S10 head - silicone
• YL Doll ›Dafna‹ head (Jinsan no. 411) - TPE

Also, three new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Climax Doll CLM-159/XL body style - TPE / ~159 cm / ~49 kg
• New arrivals: Irontech ITSRS-152/C body style - silicone / ~152 cm / ~45 kg
• New arrivals: YL Doll YL-167/C body style / TPE / ~167 cm / ~43 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.
