Weekly summary 39/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 39th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe & Xycolo Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. The economic desaster caused by lockdowns and other Corona measures keeps unfolding. Supply chains are disrupted, and oil prices climb up. Shortages in key industries are to expected, and there is a massive energy crisis ahead. As it is becoming more and more obvious, Corona was only the pretext for something much bigger.

With currently 65 studies including 32 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is plenty of sound research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis, and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. All of this is clear evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid keeps getting suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. ..Several Chinese manufacturer have issued alerts because of silicone shortages. Prices for other materials required to build dolls have increased by up tp 40%. New price lists state shoccking air freight costs, especially for taller and/or heavier dolls. Also, the first dolls have showed up where freight costs are approximately three times the item cost. So far, the worst item/freight ratio was 1:2 (freight costs twice as high as item cost).

2) New arrivals.

This week, five new heads were introduced:

• 6Ye Premium no. 27 head (6Ye no. 27) - TPE
• Climax Doll ›Tifa‹ head - silicone
• Irontech Doll ›Scarlet‹ head - TPE
• WM Dolls no. 360 head (Jinsan no. 360) - TPE
• Zelex Doll A147 head - TPE

Also, two new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Climax Doll CLM-156/D body style - TPE / ~156 cm / ~38 kg
• New arrivals: Irontech IT-160/D aka 160cm Minus body style - TPE / ~160 cm / ~38 kg

One new head variant of existing heads was introduced:

• Irontech Doll ›Scarlet‹ head - variant of Irontech's ›Scarlet elf‹ head with regular human ears instead of pointy elf ears

Also, no new variants of existing body styles were introduced.
