Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

6) Silicone blend and Skin tone.

Let's talk a bit about the synthetic flesh. This is a slightly complicated topic to describe verbally, so I will make some comparisons.

Gynoid Tech uses different silicone blends for head and body. The silicone blend used for the head is very firm, even more firm than what Doll Sweet is using for their heads with S-level makeup. I like this firmness, as many parts of a human head are firm, too, so for me it increases realism. However, what neither Doll Sweet nor Gynid Tech have managed so far is to blend a firm silicone for the forehead, cheekbone and chin ares with a softer silicone for the lips. So Gynoid's Jì Xiāng head if very firm all over, including the lips.

The silicone blend used for the body is surprisingly soft, even a bit softer than the silicone used on Doll Sweet's DS-167 ›Evo‹ but firmer than the (Ecoflex) silicone used for Maidlee Doll's Maid-Fong.

In Gynoid's Model 7, the breasts are significantly softer than the rest of the chest area; they feel like homogenous silicone gel implants, comparable in softness with Happy Doll's gel-filled breast and also clearly softer than the breasts in Doll Sweet's DS-167 ›Evo‹. Also, Jì Xiāng's breasts feel completely organic; they do not leave the impression of a balloon which is filled with air or gel. That's what we have encountered with dolls from Sino-doll, Z-Onedoll, and Doll Affair. So all in all, those breasts are exquisite in regard to softness and haptics. The softness is only beaten by Maidlee Doll's Maid-Fong and some of the current soft TPE blends.

And there is yet another extra-soft area: the butt. I wasn't even aware that this doll would have some kind of 'gel impants' in her butt, and I only noticed it after removing her panties for the first time.

As far as I remember, Gynoid Tech mentions nowhere the existence of this feature.

They should.

For Sanhui and Sino-doll, the extra-soft butt customization is among the most requested options.

For Gynoid's Model 7 it's simply the default. No extra charge. It's just there, quitely.

Is the extra-soft butt some good?

Yes, it is. Like the breasts, the silicone gel – or whatever the filling is made of – seamlessly integrates with the surrounding silicone.

It's very soft and feels great.

My only worry is if she can still sit or lay on this soft butt for extended periods of time (please see comments below).

At least after sitting on a chair for one day, the gel implants show no sign of running out or loosing shape.

As far as I can tell, there are no other extra-soft areas, e.g. thighs or belly.

On the body, there are areas which feel more firm. That applies most notably to the hands and to (parts) of the foot. I am not sure if Gynoid blends a firmer silicone into the hand or if it's just the skeletal structure below. However, the hand feels like a hand. Jì Xiāng's hands are the first doll with hands which actually deserve this term. Absolutely amazing!

I have mixed feelings about the feet. They are supposed to allow standing without bolts by using a more firm silicone. An internal support structure is there, but only in the middle of the foot, more or less a simple foot plate. Also, the silicone of the toes does not feel more firm than the rest of the body at all. The heels are (imho) way too soft, and my guesstimate is that especially the toes and the balls will cause problems sooner or later – the silicone layer is thin, and the material is (imho) too soft for standing by order of magnitude. The toes do not have any internal support structure, so they are not posable; also they are not separated. If you move the doll, the toes just wobble around which is not very realistic.

Overall, in regard to softness, Model 7 can be considered as a (solid) alternative to typical current TPE blends. The body of this doll is softer than many of the older TPE blends as they were used by JY Doll or Doll House 168 'classic line' respectively Shangmei factory until about two to three years ago.

In regard to oil leakage I need to adjust my first impression from a couple of days ago. She leaks more oil than I initially thought. It's similar with a JM Doll or a Maid-Fong mk.2.

To give you an idea what to expect:

The two 'wet' spots are from Jì Xiāng's feet when she was barefoot and sitting on a chair. The smaller spot on the left is from her balls, and the bigger spot on the right is from her heels.

So yes, she leaks a lot of oil.

The floor is wooden parquet, so you can expect similar or worse 'grease stains' as well on cardboard or fabric.

Regarding the skin toneGynoid Tech does not allow to choose a different skin color. Their dolls always come in the default skin color which is a very fair/light skin tone, comparable with Doll Sweet's LPink:

I will post comparison pictures later.

Also, here is a reference picture for the skin tone with a calibration card:

With this picture and a photo editing software, you can adjust colors with the whit, gray, and black areas. This should give you a rather precise idea of Gynoid Tech's skin tone.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

7) Skin Surface and Surface Finishing.

Gynoid Tech's Model 7 has it all – from textured skin over a hyper-realistic surface finishing to intentional imperfections to further increase realism.

I don't thinkt that there is any doll in this price range on the market which offers similar features, neither in China nor in Japan or North America.

Skin textures have been established as the de-facto standard for most upper-range silicone dolls. Sanhui has it, Doll Sweet has it, Sino-doll has it. And of course, Gynoid Tech has it, too. Though, there are subtle differences in the quality of the skin textures. The best quality is if you do not even consciously notice that there is a skin texture. Doll Sweet (›Evo‹ line) and Gynoid Tech dominate in this discipline. The skin texture is unobstrusive and appears just natural.

Welcome to Uncanny Valley!

And then there is a novelty, the hyper-realistic surface finishing. Hitdoll/Ildoll is currently pushing a similar method into the market, but elsewhere there is not much competition yet. The hyper-realistic skin surface finishing goey beyond the haptical skin texture. Applying delicate structures like veins, blood vessels or moles is extremely subtle and requires a lot of manual work. If it is done in a less skilled way, it will simply look like bad skin, acne, blackheads or worse. Some companies have tried to join the party – look for 'artificial skin – and failed miserably. Even Doll Sweet strictly limits the application of these elements to a couple of veins in the feet. That's the right way of mimicking hyper-realistic skin surfaces – less is more.

Gynoid Tech does not only apply the hyper-realistic surface finishing across the whole body, on top of that they are true masters of this method.

The pictures below are (unedited) detail shots of random areas from the doll's skin surface. If you enlarge the pictures, you will see veins, blood vessels and moles. It's unbelievable!

What you get with a doll from Gynoid Tech is totally unusual for a sex doll. This quality of the surface finishing is normally limited to makeup artists from the stage or the movies – or silicone artists like Guy Louis XVI, Sam Jinks or Paul McCarthy.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

8 ) Eye mechanism.

Precisely adjusting the line of sight is crucial for appealing portraits, and – so far – no manufacturer has managed to invent a easy to use mechanism that works consistently. There are some good ideas, e.g. Ruby13's mechanism which prevent a cross-eyed view, and Doll Sweet's spring-based mechanism which theoretically allows for rather precise adjustments.

So I was pretty curious if the eyes in the Jì Xiāng head would be movable. That is not self-evident as lots of silicone heads, from Happy Doll to old heads from Sanhui and even Orient Industry, do not have movable eyes. And those with movable eyes often use some notchy mechanics which can result rather in a desperate struggle with the technology than getting pleasant looks.

When carefully touching Jì Xiāng's eyes, it was like a revelation.

OMG!

The eyes are not only movable, there is an eye mechanism that actually works!

What Gynoid Tech has implemented here is precision mechanics at it's best. With a rubber tool (e.g. eraser pencil) you can precisely move the eyes in fractions of millimeters.

Precisely adjusting the line of sight just became a matter of seconds!

As well Doll Sweet (current default for all silicone heads) as Sino-doll (optional) have spring-based eye mechanisms. Due to manufacturing tolerances, these mechanisms work more or less well. Sometimes the DS mechanism works relatively smoothly, sometimes it can drive you crazy because the spring pushes the eyeballs exactly there where you do not want it. Sino-doll's option is similar, sometimes it works OK, sometimes it doesn't work too well.

Compared with the existing eye mechanisms in their best incarnations, Gynoid's eye mechanism is at least ten times better. I'd dare to say that it's perfect.

I think I have never used the term 'perfect' for anything doll related before. For the eye mechanism, Gynoid Tech deserves it.

Well done, guys!

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

9) Accessories and Scope of supply.

The Scope of Supply (in the sense of factory gifts) respectively the Accessories which come together with the doll is a topic which can be covered quickly as there is not much to talk about.

Except for the leaflet with usage instructions, there is ony a metal tool for tightening/detaching the modular arms.

Also there is the underwear – panties and a bra –, and the wig. That's it.

The underwear is nice and it fits well:

The included underwear set is labeled with the brand name "Woman Temptation".

  • Bra size, according to label: C70
  • Panties size, according to label: 155/85 (S)

Somehow this bra seemed familiar… and actually it is exactly the same set I bought last year for my DS-167 ›Evo‹ last year, just in a different color:

So someone at Gynoid Tech seems to share my taste in women's underwear Smile

Anyway, because I bought if off Amazon, I can tell you the exact value of this underwear set by the Varsbaby brand. I paid 25,83 Euros for the set. This is not a high price for women's underwear, but adding it to a doll from China is still rather unusual. Typically, the factory outfits are rather $2-$3 items.

The same goes for the wig. It appears to be slightly better quality than typical other factory wigs.

Addendum (July 8th, 2019): I can confirm my first impression. The wig actually is better quality than typical Chinese factory wigs. After combing it a couple of times, she has not shed a lot of hair. This is a clear indicator for a higher quality wig.

Other factory gifts? No lube, no plastic enema, no cotton gloves, no comb.

Overall, what comes together with the doll is very minimalistic and a bit similar with Doll Sweet where the doll comes even without a factory outfit.

Do I miss the miscellaneous 'factory gifts' which come with other dolls?

Not really. Most of the stuff we get elsewhere is more or less useless anyway. By not adding useless accessories to the box, Gynoid helps to reduce waste. That's good.

Instead of useless cheap stuff, Gynoid adds something really important in good quality – the underwear set and a quality wig. I fully encourage these decisions.

What am I really missing? A little piece of silicone for testing purposes, e.g. if some piece of clothing will stain, or if my favourite silicone glue will work. Such a litte test material should – imho – come with every doll, no matter of the price range.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

10) Skeleton and Posing capability.

As long as Jì Xiāng lies, she can do some nice poses, showcasing her strengths – nicely trimmed seamlines, perfect body shape and hyper realistic skin surface:

Posing when sitting on a chair or sofa is OK as well, as long as you do not let her sit too long on her butt. With the (now optional) extra-soft butt she should not left sitting for extended periods of time. Taking the following pictures took about 30 minutes, that should be OK for her butt (but it wasn't OK for her feet, see below for details).

For the following pictures, I put Jì Xiāng onto a chair with her feets on ground to keep the balance. Then I simply went from top (neck) to bottom (hips) to check if joints are where I expect them to be.

In a nutshell, articulation is great and movements appear natural.

Picture above: Independent shoulder joints – left shoulder slightly up, right shoulder slightly down. Please note the 'flow' of the upper body; the movement appears totally natural.

Picture above: Relaxed shoulder pose – both shoulders slightly down.

Picture above: Shrugging shoulders pose – both shoulder joints up as far as they go. Please note that the collarbone (clavicle, here implemented with solid silicone) seems to raise too. I think this is anatomically correct.

Picture above: Now bending forward. What responds to pushing her upper body down is a joint approximately in the upper chest area. That's really nice, many dolls are stiff like a stick in this area.

Picture above: Now raise upper body up and rotate sideways. Yes, we can twist and tilt, too Smile

Again, averything looks organic and natural. The movements simply do not appear like a chunk of rubber on a metal frame.

Picture above: Now I have moved the camera location to show you how her back arches. Sweet!

Also, please note that none of these photos were photo-edited. The seamlines are there, but are these faint lines really objectionable?

Picture above: Now we have a pose she can not do properly… Bend sideways to the left, arch the back and raise the right arm. The joints play along, but not the silicone. Tension is too strong, so the gap between detachable arms and upper body becomes greater than the bangle can cover up.

For nude photography I'd probably give her a cloth or a scarf to cover this area up. Also, this gap might be a (visual) aequivalent to a human model saying "Ouch, this pose hurts". So I'd consider it a helpful indicator to go so far and not any further.

Picture above: So let's relieve some of the tension and move the upper body back, but keep the arched back. Now it get's a little spooky as the breasts start to distort a bit. When the right arm moves to the back, it pulls the right breast slightly with it. Once more this is exactly what an organic breast would do when the breast muscle (pectoralis major) starts to contract. If there are any medics out there, maybe someone can comment on the anatomical deatails, I think they are awesome…

Picture above: Let's keep exploring her limits… Rotate the uper body to the right and bend the left shoulder as far to the right as possible… Now the left breasts gets a little distorted. Everything still looks organic to me.

Picture above: Now relax the left arm…

Picture above: …and reverse the movement of the upper body. Veeeery nice!

Picture above: Now I have to move the camera again so you can the the arched back and the beautiful body shape.

That was quite impressive, wasn't it?

Not sure if I got it properly onto the pictures, but posing Gynoid's Model 7 is nothing but awesome!

I really can't say that Model 7 has a bad skeleton. Articulation of the skeleton is excellent and all poses I have tried appear totally natural. On top of that, the silicone moves almost as if it was organic matter. I haven't seen a similarily organic-looking synthetic 'flesh' on any other doll yet.

Addendum (July 8th, 2019): I gave it some though why the synthetic flesh behaves so organic and life-like. And especially why I haven't it seen yet on any other doll…

My hypothesis is that the root cause could be the silicone foam used by Gynoid Tech. All other silicone doll makers I know use PU foam because it's easier to process, costs less and has less weight per volume.

But PU foam is relatively stiff. Opposed to that, silicone foam is elastic and can be deformed like a sponge. PU tends to crack when it is tilted or twisted too savagely.

My guess is that the increased elasticity of the silicone foam core affects the outer silicone layer(s) as well. Since Jì Xiāng's 'bowels' are less stiff her whole body appears less like a stiff manikin.

However, even if Gynoid Tech's silicone skills are excellent and the skeleton has all the joints you could wish for, there is a little catch… if only the joints wouldn't start to loosen after four days…
Within the first week I got a loose right hip joint.
And within the second week I got an loose right shoulder joint.

So after two weeks she has lost a better part of her capability to hold a pose.

Regarding standing cpability, that's a tough cookie…

In a nutshell, I don't think that Model 7 like I got her can stand without severely hurting herself and I will probably not even try to make her stand on her own feet.

Why?

In the past four days she was sitting on a (padded) chair. To keep her balance, the feet are touching the floor slightly.

This is how the foot looks on day four:

It has several tears, plus a couple of indentations which will soon be tears.

In the following picture I marked the areas with tears down to the foot bon with red arrows; the indentations are marked with blue arrows:

Obviously the area with the most stress are the balls, exactlty where the metal foot plate ends.

Again, these injuries were caused just from sitting on a chair in four days.

This is how the foot looks on day five, after doing 30 minutes of posing in a chair (the pictures above):

Now we got a clean tear across half of the foot, exactly located where the (sharp) edge of the metal foot plate is located.

So these sitting poses above are quite expensive, they finally ruined one of her feet.

And again, this doll stood never on her feet.

Maybe you can imagine what will happen if you put her full weight of about 38 kg onto these feet…

If I would make her stand on her own feet, my predition is that the metal foot plate would tear right through the balls and probably cut her toes off.

As far as I can tell as of today, June 29th, I consider this doll not fit for standing.

However, please note that this is not a final assessment as Gynoid Tech disagrees:

[…] we got lots buyers with there dolls over one year, feet no problem at all. they stand the doll, too. […]

What Gynoid Tech does not clearly disclose is how the feet of the other dolls look like and if the pictures with the doll standing were made with the bolted version.

The skeleton has all joints you could wish for, but as far as I can tell, it is not as reliable as a DS skeleton.

From day one one, the leg joints creaked. According to Gynoid Tech, that is normal and should go away within a couple of days.

After half a week, the creaking is still there, but something else is gone – the tightness of the right hip joint. It's now not a 'more tight' but rather a 'more loose' joint. Maybe I shouldn't have ordered the skeleton with 'standard joints', I'm not sure. Or maybe the design of the joints has flaws which makes them to loosen much too quickly.

The bottomline is: Posing capability of Model 7 is good to excellent, but there are some serious limitation to consider. If you want your doll to stand, I'd recommend to ask for the bolted variant; if you want to pose your doll frequently, be prepared for doll surgery within the first couple of weeks, or try the extra tigh joints option.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

11) Accordance to specifications.

Weight of body:

The measured weight is 35,95 kg (rounded ~36,0 kg) without head.

Weight of head:

The measured weight is 1,64 kg (rounded ~1,6 kg) with wig:

So the total weight of this doll is 37,6 kg (body, head and wig included).

Specified weight is 34 kg; according to Gynoid Tech, the usual variance is +/- 3 kg, so within this range, she could weight 37 kg. Since Gynoid does not disclose if their specs are for head and body or body only, she would remain within manufacturer tolerances.

According to our own judgement, we consider a deviation to be acceptable up to 10%. That would give us a limit of up to 37,4 kg. Without wig she would remain within this range, so the data from Gynoid Tech is credible and realistic.

By current de-facto 'industry standards', Gynoid's Model 7 does not stick exactly to the specs, but remains within a tolerable range of deviation.

Obviously, Model 7 is not a weight optimized doll. She is optimized for great looks, good softness and superb haptics. Theoretically, it would be possible to increase the size of the foam core and/or replace silicone foam with PU foam; both could reduce the weight for a few kilograms. But the doll would probably feel less soft.

A weight between 37 and 38 kg is managable, especially considering that you get a lot of doll in return; Jì Xiāng has a lot of curves plus naturally shaped thighs and waist. She is not a 'tits on a stick' type of doll, and this 'flesh' comes with a price – a relatively high body weight.

However, the weight is acceptable, but not excellent. For some of you, the weight will be slightly above your comfort zone – for most of my customers the comfort zone is around 30-35 kg. Also, every extra kilogram causes additional strain onto the feet, if you make her stand on her own feet; so the heavier a doll gets, the higher the probability for problems with standing.

So yes, a little less weight would be desirable. And definitely, a real weight of 34 kg would be better. But since the deviation remains within realistic tolerances, there is no reason for unreasonable criticism.

If you consider to buy this doll, please try to find out where your comfort zone is. If it's clearly below 38 kg, an alternative to Jì Xiāng might be her sisters Yui and Misato Shinohara with the two GT-160/x body styles. These are specified to be 28 kg, so with a deviation of 10% factored in, they will probably be around 31 kg. Also, the real weight of Doll Sweet's DS-167 ›Evo‹ is around 30 kg (without head), so this would be another option if you do not want to deal with a doll in 37-38 kg range.

But if you want the little extra body height of ~165 cm plus the curves and high end features of Model 7, you will have to deal with a weight of around 37,6 kg. For this combo, there are simply no alternatives.

Regarding other body measurements, Gynoid Tech only provides BWH measurements, nothing else.

So here are a couple of own measurements:

  • Under bust circumference: ~68 cm
  • Under bust + breast circumference gives us a recommended cup sized of 70D [EU] (the bra in the included underwear is labeled "C70")
  • Foot length: ~23 cm
  • The foot length gives us approximations for the shoe size: 37 [DE] / 4 [UK] / 6 [US]
  • Hand length (wrist to tip of middle finger): ~28 cm
  • Palm girth (measured for glove size, "around your dominant hand at the knuckles with your fingers together"): ~16 cm
  • Palm length (measured for glove size, "from the crease at the base of your wrist (on palm side) to the tip of your middle finger"): ~16 cm
  • The hand circumference gives us a glove size of (possibly) XS or (probably) S

I will later try some women's clothing, so we'll see if these calculated sizes are usable to go shopping.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

13) Head.

That's how the head came out of the box, with wig attached and hair net muddled around – without a protective bag:

According to Gynoid Tech, this is not how it is shipped from the factory. However, that's the reality of international shipments.

What matters here is that the head wasn't injured – no scratches and no dents.

Head below with the head part of the neck connector:

Basically it is a similar type like used by Doll Sweet and some Japanese manufacturers. But there are a couple of differences; please take a look into the 'neck connector' section of this review for further details.

The doll comes with one factory wig; the type – hair color, with curls etc. – seems not to be customizable.

Similar to Japanese doll makers, Gynoid Tech uses some velcro to keep the wig fixed on the head:

That's the inside of the factory wig:

Fortunately, the wig is not glued to the head, so you can use wigs from aftermarket. The velcro does not interfere with 3rd party wigs.

Some details of the head:

The ear is a detail you might overlook at first. If you look closer, you will discover a fully sculpted ear. Please feel free to compare with other dolls – usually there is much less detail. And I can not find any seamlines. Frequently, the seamline for silicone heads runs through the middle of the ear, or sometimes the ears are just glued on. The Jì Xiāng head looks like casted in one piece. Most impressive!

The eyelashes are yet another detail which shows exceptional manufacturing quality. The small hairs are attaches with utmost precision and just look great!

A pleasant side-effect of the exquisite smoothly working eye mechanism is that you will hardly ever touch the eyelashes, so changes are good that the eyelashes will remain in good shape and not fall off after some time as on almost all other dolls.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

14) Lady parts.

Tingling moment… I removed per panties.

Yes, she has a vagina. A real vagina, not a pencil holder.

Seamlines from molding are visible; I guess that's why most pictures of the Gynoid ladies have stitched pubic hair – it covers up the seamlines.

Also noteworthy, there is not much pigmentation, neither of the vulva area nor on the labiae. I know that some people like pigmentation this way, others might want more intense colors. I think it's OK, but potentially there is some room for improvement. Neither the pigmentation of the areolae and nipples northe labiae fully meets the extremely high standards of the other body makeup.

Size and shape of this vagina is unexpected. The Asian preference for synthetic vaginas is usually 'tight' and not exactly mature.

This vagina is the exact opposite – it resembles the vagina of an experienced woman that has a lot of sex. Labiae are precisely molded, and inside the vaginal canal there is a lot of texture. Or rather more than just a texture, there are actual structures like muscle tissue inside:

Softness of the vaginal area feels quite good. Softer than most other silicone vaginas I know, but not quite as soft as Sino-doll's ultra-soft vagina option.

Since you can choose the built-in vagina with different depths up to 18 cm, I don't think there will be much room for any complaints. As well width as depth should accomodate any average Caucasian male. For vaginal sex, this doll is 100% fit for purpose. My guess is that these internal structures will shoot you into orgasmic heaven.

Though, not exactly sure about cleaning. If the vagina mimics human anatomy inside as well, there might be a narrow part at the back end (cervix cavity) which could be very hard to clean. I askr Gynoid Tech for a cross section of the whole vagina design and I promptly received a video, showing the inside of a Gynoid vagina insert:

I am not sure if the built-in vagina exactly shares an identical interior design, but let's work with this for now. So the inner walls of the vagina have a ribbed structure, but no up and down of bumps, grooves and ridges like some Japanese onaholes. If the built-in vagina is similarily designed like the insert, cleaning should not be an issue.

However, the cleaning issue would apply to all doll designs with elaborate vaginal structures anyway, e.g. the notorious 'uterus insert', so Gynoid Tech would not deserve particular criticism for it.

At this point, I just have to state that I am highly surprised to come across an Asian-made doll with a fully operational vagina for average Caucasian males. Out there on the market there are very few Asian dolls which can offer this.

On request for 'JB75' from TDF I tried a 'doggystyle' pose:

I think she can do doggystyle quite well; the angle for access is good to excellent. However, to avoid tears on knees and elbows I highly recommend to put cushions under her belly so the weight rests on the cushions and not on knees/elbows.

(Added June 30th / day five) And here some more pictures from behind:

For this picture I had to spread her legs abit and noticed someting not so nice:

I am not sure yet if the spots in the circled area are part of the molding process of if this are tension tears from spreading her legs. We'll see if the tear becomes bigger, but I am afraid resistance against further tearing is not so great as one could wish for.

Re: Unboxing Gynoid GT-165/86 with Jì xiāng head (纪香) aka...

15) Manufacturing Quality.

Overall, the manufacturing quality is good and adaequate to the steep price tag of this doll.

But some differentiations are necessary.

Manufacturing quality of the silicone parts is excellent. Seamlines are trimmed flawlessly, and so far I could not find any air bubbles, holes or other (unintentional) imperfections.

Actually, manufacturing quality is so good that Gynoid Tech decided to embed intentional imperfections – like small beauty marks and blood vessels.

Also remarkable is the smoothness in which the silicone respectively silicone gel from soft breasts and soft butt is blended into the firmer silicone skin around it.

The mastery of the silicone processing easily competes with Doll Sweet's ›Evo‹ line and Maidlee Doll's Maid-Fong. Both are exceptional dolls in this discipline, and Maid-Fong is not even from Asia. So yes, Gynoid Tech has fully caught up with some of the best of the best.

The only part which is processed a little bit sloppy are the toes. On one foot they are all in one piece, on the other foot the big toe is separated (by the way, the toes are not posable; there is no internal structure in the toes, they are solid silicone). Since the the toes on one foot are different from the toes on the other foot, I can't tell how it is supposed to be.

Manufacturing quality of the skeleton is hard to assess without cutting the doll open; but so far, all movements work as expected and all screws are where they are supposed to be.

But my gut feeling is that Doll Sweet's skeleton is still a quite a bit more elaborate and reliable, but the reason for this impression could also be that I am more familiar with the DS skeleton.

Some possible indications that the manufacturing quality of the skeleton is not on par with the exquisite manufacturing quality of the silicone might be that the skeleton creaks and that the joint of the right leg started to become loose between day four and day five:

The animated GIF above shows the loosenes of the right hip joint. As loose as it is about half a week after her arrival, it probably would be an additional hindrance for standing.

The bottomline is that In regard to manufacturing quality, no serious red lights show up. At least not as long as there is no serial flaw with the hip joints as previous models by Artificial Human had.

Though, we will see how she manages in the test of time.

One thing I can not make sense of is the repeated claim that the feet without pegs are suitable for standing. It's most obvious that this is not the case, so I am wondering if this 'feature' has been ever tested in the factory. If standing without bolts has not been properly tested, it would be a serious failure. If it has been tested and still passed QC in the current inferior incarnation, it would be a serious failure, too.

16) Standing Capability.

As indicated in the last post, standing capability is a less pleasant topic. I just ordered the "standing option", assuming that it would be the usual bolts. Since I need this doll to be capable of standing, this feature was crucial for me, even if it just would be the pesky bolts.

Obviously I was more than delighted when I got the factory confirmation video and saw that the feet had no bolts. Real standing capability without bolts would exactly be what I would like most.

Just to be safe I asked the factory for confirmation that the doll would be able to stand. Reply from June 6th:

[…] a harder silicone instead of bolts has been added to doll's feet,so GYNOID Dolls can stand […]

But things that sound to good to be true often are to good to be true.

So as far as I can tell so far, this doll can not stand without hurting herself badly.

Just from sitting she got multiple tears like this in the soles of her feet.

Just from sitting? Yes, because the feet work as 2nd respectively 3rd point of contact for balancing. Most of the weight rests on her butt, so the weight load on each foot is about 3-4 kg max (measured by putting a digital scale below her foot). Even that minimal weight suffices for the foot plate to tear through the soles of the feet.

That's how the foot looks like one day later after a 30-minute sessions of posing:

At this point, the doll never stood on her own feet. This damage happened just from balancing a sitting doll.

So this doll is clearly not fit for standing.

And here is why she hurts herself so easily:

The metal foot plate ends about where here balls start. The edge of the metal plate is sharp and looks like so:

And here are the two-layered silicone structures on her feet, demonstrating the shape of the self-inflicted cut:

A little bit away from her balls are threads for bolts/pegs visible:

So the skeletal design was actually made for bolts or pegs.

Addendum (July 4th, 2019): After giving it a couple of days though, my assessment is that either the foot is a engineering flaw, or a QC mistake. Either the factory just forgot to put the bolts into the intended threads, or the design of the metal foot plate is just bad. A metal plate with such a sharp edge simply must not be located in a position where weight is massed. With proper engineering, the edge of the foot plate would have to be deburred, or at least wrapped in some tissue so the edge could not work as a knife.

So I am changing the evaluation for manufacturing from "no red flags" to "one red flag" – the foot design respectively manufacturing quality of the feet.
