today is Friday the 13th. Time for a little horror experience…
Most of our Unboxings cover Asian dolls, and most of these dolls are made of either TPE or silicone. This time we will be unboxing a very different doll made in the U.S.
She is, according to the manufacturer Candy8teen, made of a "silicone-urethane" mixture and has no skeleton. Her name is Amber.
The doll comes in a really thin carton with a total weight of 18 lb (~8.2 kg) and a package size of 46 x 10 x 12 in (~117 x 26 x 31 cm).
Making the doll took about three weeks; we picked her up with DHL Express which took two days to ship her to Berlin.
That's how the doll is packaged. There is no padding around the corners of the carton. On top of her is a small plastic bag filled with air. The head is separated from the body. There is nothing else in the box - no manual, no accessories. Just the doll's body and the head. And the little air bag.
The feet are not straight to fit the doll in a smaller carton. That doesn't matter too much as there is no skeleton anyway, and the doll has wrinkles all over her.
Below the air bag is the head. It is not wrapped in any protective padding; there's just a thin plasctic bag around it.
That's the upper body of the doll. She has breasts, according to the manufacturer DD cup size. But there is no body makeup, not even on the nipples or labiae.
The doll has wrinkles in several areas, especially in the shoulder area. Even if this is a solid doll, there is a slight resemblance with an inflatable.
There are more wrinkles on the feet. The material straightens out a bit, when the feet are unfolded.
That is the Amber head. There is some makeup on the lips and around the eyes. The eyes are not glued in, so they are moveable to some (limited) degree.
The head is not bad; it's a friendly face. Just the forehead is to small. There is no neck connector or another mechanism to attach the head to the body; it's supposed to be put on the neck stub.
The manufacturer claimed that they put a wig into the carton, but there was no wig. As the head is very soft in the back, it might not be easy to attach a wig to it.
This is the back of the head. The frontside is rather solid, but the back is almost completely hollow. It's just a thin layer of the material and doesn't feel robust. I could not manage to attach the head securely onto the neck, it just keeps falling off. It might help to glue the head onto the body, or to to build some mechanism to keep allowing her to turn the head sideways.
The mouth is semi-open; it is not designed for oral sex.
This are the boobs. It's clearly a doll for lovers of huge breasts. The shape is nice, but they feel rather hard. A lot harder than the boobs of any love doll I have ever touched.
The same goes for the vagina. It's hard, but has some depth (~20 cm, according to the manufacturer).
On her backside, Amber has an anus. Again it's a deep hole (~17 cm).

Yummy? Naah, not really.
Similar to the wig, the manufacturer said they put an insert into the carton, but there was no insert. So I just can not tell if that's the way she is supposed to be used.
Around all sides of the body, there are very prominent seamlines.
If you do not like seamlines like this, Amber might just not be the right doll for you.
Also there is another unusual detail about this doll. On both shoulders are openings where some foam filling seems to be poured in. These openings are not sealed, so I am not sure if you can take this doll under the shower. My guesstimate would be no.
The body shape of this doll is feminine and quite beautiful. Amber has a round butt and a narrow waist.
Sadly, all over the waist are wrinkles, so touching this doll feels a bit odd.
Here's another curvy body part. Nice shape, isn't it?
Between her breasts is a white substance. It might be powder.
And last but not least a view of Amber's hand. The fingers are separated, so you can hold hands with Amber.
I'm not sure what the black dash on her wrists is. It's inside the material. Maybe it's a remainder from a brush.
That's all I can show about this unusual doll. It's totally different from the Chinese dolls we have unboxed in the past.

Considering body height and weight, there is only one alternative in the segment of solid love dolls: fabric and plush dolls. And, of course, inflatables you're stuffing yourself.

Amber doll by Candy8teen is about 150 cm tall (4'11") and weights less than 8 kg.
Body measurements: 84 x 56 x 84 cm (33-22-33 in). Cup size: DD (manufacturer specs).
Dolls like Amber are a rarity since C18 went out of business a couple of months ago. You can consider this a predecessor of Doll Sweet's EX-lite which uses a similar technique and design. Similar to the EX-lite, the skin of Amber doll wrinkles when you mover her limbs, and there are vending holes to avoid the doll from busting when pressure is applied. However, even if there are obvious similarities, the EX-lite's design is lightyears more elaborate and elegant; e.g. her venting holes are much smaller.
Except for plush ladies and the EX-lite, this is probably one of the most affordable solid life-sized doll. Also, she is extremely lightweight (~8 kg). Though, she has neither a skeleton nor an eye bolt (for hanging). The fingers are separated, but they are - like the whole doll - not posable. Obviously, this doll can not stand on her own feet.
The head is removable. Since there is no skeleton, there is no neck connector, either. The head is put onto a neck stub. It does not sit very tight on this neck stub. The curly blonde wig is a suggestion; I think it fits to this doll.
